Paralegal Part-Time The candidate's duties include: Answering non-legal/process questions and general inquiries from current and prospective clients; Meeting with current and prospective clients; Collaborating with the principal attorney to determine optimal immigration strategy; Assisting the principal attorney with all aspects of family-based immigrant visa and green card, waiver, citizenship, and removal defense cases; Preparing various immigration petitions from start to finish, including reviewing supporting documents, drafting cover letters, and completing required USCIS forms; Preparing motions and evidence to file in immigration court, and Performing legal research, if/when necessary. The candidate will serve as the primary administrative assistant for the principal attorney. Our law office primarily handles family-based green card and immigrant visa, waiver, citizenship, and removal defense cases. Should be currently enrolled in paralegal education programs or paralegal program graduates will be considered for this position. No prior immigration work experience is required but Spanish fluency is preferred. Ability to work independently, manage large caseloads, and keep deadlines is expected. Should have strong writing, communication, and computer skills.
