Paralegal The candidate will assist attorneys with the preparation of a civil case for trial. Discovery and records management. Summarize discovery responses, prepare meat and confer correspondence. Motion writing experience, such as oppositions to motions including discovery motions, motions to continue the trial. A Bachelor's degree and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program are required. Should have 5-10 years of paralegal experience in a law firm. Civil litigation experience is required. Familiarity with performing research tasks using web-based legal research services is needed. Experience working with paperless files. iManage experience is a plus. Must be helpful, Congenial, Personable, Positive. Unpretentious, Approachable, Respectful, Team Oriented. Must be accountable, Takes Ownership, Corrects Mistakes. Should be organized, Timely, Confidential, and Responsive (within 24 hours).Ability to summarize medical and employment records, and create medical chronologies. Must be proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Should have the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision and exceptional attention to detail.
