Entry Level Associate Attorney Duties: Understands state specific knowledge of collections regulations. Displays strong mental agility and decision making skills. Undertake training to ensure a full understanding of all relevant laws, regulations, as well as client and company policies and procedures. Review lawsuits for accurate information, including but not limited to, venue, balances, correct named parties, statute of limitations, proper documentation, proper theories of recovery. May assist in drafting formal policies and procedures associated with the position. May assist in legal research to ensure pleadings and laws contained therein are up-to-date with applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and the State of Wyoming Additional license in Oregon, Washington, and/or Utah is highly preferred. Experience with legal research and writing is required. Minimum experience using Excel is preferred. Experience in the collections industry preferred. Business management experience preferred.
