Litigation Paralegal - Creditor's Rights Duties: Provide legal work and collaborate with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal assistants on high-volume civil litigation matters and provide legal assistance and support on cases. Supports attorneys who represent numerous banking and financial institutions and the position would focus on consumer/commercial litigation with an emphasis on creditor's rights. Case management, discovery, hearing and trial preparation. Communicate with clients, pro se defendants, opposing counsels, and process servers at all phases of litigation. Assist attorneys with scheduling hearings, case management, drafting pleadings and data entry. Assist with hearing and trial preparation. Qualifications: A college degree in Paralegal Studies or an equivalent field is preferred. 2+ years experience in litigation matters is strongly preferred. Possess outstanding organizational and time management skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure. Experience with state electronic filing and drafting of pleadings, trial preparation and support, file management, and discovery. Possess strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision. Thorough attention to details and ability to follow up effectively on outstanding items. Ability to produce high quality, error-free work product in a fast-paced, deadline sensitive environment. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and litigation document software.
