Title : Litigation Paralegal

Litigation Paralegal The candidate will prepare discovery motions (Motions to Extend Discovery, Motion to Compel Discovery, and Motion Dismiss Complaint about Plaintiff's Failure to Provide Discovery). Schedule and coordinate IMEs for the plaintiff. Research (Westlaw preferred) and other online sources. Assist in retention of experts. Prepare HIPPA Authorization Forms for Plaintiff's execution and return. Retrieval of medical records from providers. Follow-up with providers to ensure receipt of records of HIPPA requests. Perform Jury Verdict Searches using Westlaw. Must have a paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred or relevant years of experience. Must have 2+ years of relevant experience. Should have experience reviewing Plaintiff's Answers to Interrogatories. Should have experience drafting and entering time entries. Should have experience with Westlaw. Should have a thorough working knowledge of and experience working the Federal and New York court system. Should have proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Should have excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Should have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Should have the ability to review medical records and add relevant dates/information to the medical chronology.
