Part-time Family Law Paralegal The candidate will assist one attorney on day to day paralegal functions. Daily duties will include: heavy contact with counsel, judicial officers and clients; coordination of one attorney calendar; calendar court related and discovery deadlines; phone calls, including client calls; tracking and entering billable time (there is a monthly billable requirement); drafting discovery, subpoenas, financial disclosures and pleadings; occasionally take filings to the San Francisco courthouse or complete local service of process; coordinating and meeting multiple filing deadlines and work under pressure; and working closely with clients regarding document productions and trial preparation. Should preferably have 1+ year of demonstrated and recent family law experience. Must have excellent writing and proofreading skills, knowledge of Local and State Rules of Court and their filing procedures, familiarity with e-filing, proficiency in Adobe Professional, MS Office Programs (Word and Excel), and be able to work with a variety of Google programs, including Gmail, Calendar, and Drive. Experience with discovery and trial procedures is essential. Note: The candidate will work 10-20 hours a week.
