Medical Malpractice Defense Paralegal The candidate will do medical records acquisition, organization, summarization. Prepare records and deposition subpoenas. Assist with discovery-related needs. Abstract/summarize medical records. Research, contact and retain various medical experts. Must be willing to step in and assist with other support/clerical functions when the need arises. The candidate should have a college degree; some graduate school desirable. Should have a 4 Year Degree. Should have a high level of academic achievement, experience preparing medical record abstracts, solid writing skills and ability to do research, strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Should pay great attention to detail. Should have MS Office proficiency, ability to do dictation (Big Hand preferred). Familiarity with electronic document systems; Worldox is preferred. Should have familiarity with E-filing.
