Family Law Associate Attorney Responsibilities: Focuses on family law and insurance matters. Case management includes discovery, motions, hearings, trials. Gain trial experience with a knowledgeable and dedicated team. Will handle status conferences, temporary hearings, uncontested final hearings and trials in family law cases. Will handle pre-litigation, written discovery, meditations and depositions in litigation matters.
Qualifications: Must already be a member of the State Bar of Georgia. 3+ years of family law experience. Insurance coverage experience is a plus. Must be proficient in performing legal research and writing. Must be proficient in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, as well as correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters. Must be well-versed in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure. Experience with taking and defending depositions a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with Lexis Nexis. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
