Closer - Paralegal The candidate must understand the entire closing process and be able to Mentor, instruct, and direct others. Makes sure that all files are ready to go, all parties involved are informed, and that all closings go off without a hitch at the closing table. Should have 4+ years or more of experience in residential real estate transactions. Coordinate transactions between buyers, sellers and agents. Prepare CDs and settlement statements as well as all closing documents for closing. Disburse funds including setting up wires. Review and confirm that the pre-closing process is complete and accurate. Assist with preparation of documents to cure title issues if needed. Issue title policies (owners and lenders). Communicate with all parties and provide documents for review. Work to ensure there are no impediments to the closing. Promote a first time right mentality to eliminate errors. Communicate professionally with clients both verbally and in writing, providing exceptional customer service. Prioritize numerous tasks in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment. Work independently as well as part of a team. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Experience with settlement software Qualia preferred. Must have 3-5 years previous experience as a closing paralegal in a residential real estate law firm.
