Paralegal - Foreclosure Defense The candidate will learn multiple aspects of homeowner representation and foreclosure defense. Will learn and work with various State and Federal real estate and consumer defense laws, review clients' loan documents for violations, draft and prepare the appropriate causes of action, and participating in a variety of activities related to saving borrowers from foreclosures. Coordinate with the Client intake team to review the incoming cases with the attorney. Draft legal documents from the simplest to very complex. Maintain the Firm's legal calendar and related scheduling. Answer and screen telephone calls in a professional manner. Record and store client information in web-based case management tool. Must have 2+ years experience as a legal assistant or paralegal (ideally in consumer or real estate law). Should preferably have bi-lingual/Spanish. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required. Familiar with mortgage or consumer law related to debt, real estate, title, bankruptcy or foreclosure is needed. Familiar with litigation process and types of legal documents filed in District and Federal courts is must. Experience working in high volume, deadline driven environment is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is needed.
