Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal The candidate should have 5 years of experience and a paralegal certification, or 8 years of relevant Georgia Personal Injury experience required. Duties include but are not limited to: Managing multiple client case files. Opening client files and initiating claims. Calendaring deadlines, scheduling various appointments. Tracking medical treatment and insurance policy coverage. Ordering medical records. Preparing demand packages. Drafting and filing Complaints. Drafting and filing various pleadings. Answering discovery. Correspondence with the Court and opposing parties. Scheduling depositions/mediation. Legal research. Keeping clients informed of case progress. Preparing for trial. Assisting at trial. Preparing settlement documents. Client, medical provider, insurance adjuster and attorney contact. Various other administrative duties as they arise. Should have Working cases up from initial call through litigation to settlement/judgment. Knowledge of personal injury/civil litigation deadlines and procedures. Experience in preparing for and assisting at trial. Experience in e-discovery and trial software. Experience in Georgia Workers Compensation a plus. Bi-lingual a plus. Experience with Time Matters or similar document management system a plus. Notary Public license.
