Paralegal- Oil and Gas The candidate will assist with the drafting and reviewing of oil and gas related documents. Read and review instruments to determine pertinent information. Conduct legal research and organize pertinent information in a concise manner for use by attorneys in preparation of oil and gas documents. Create documents and charts to assist attorneys in preparation of oil and gas title opinions. Assist attorneys on various tasks as needs arise. 5+ years litigation paralegal experience required, preferably in the energy sector (defense side experience preferred). Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA certified paralegal program preferred. Extensive experience working on oil and gas legacy cases required. Knowledge of state and federal rules required. Previous experience using LDEQs SONRIS database required. Prior experience with exploration and production related documents, including well files, mineral leases, surface leases, field orders, unit documents, and join operating agreements required. Exceptional software skills that include creation of spreadsheets and charts required. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Excellent organizational ability and demonstrated ability to manage competing demands with great attention to detail required. Advanced critical thinking and decision making skills required.
