Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day legal support operations in order to assist their assigned supervisor. This includes coordinating with clients and attorney, drafting and/or editing of legal documents, and providing legal support to the legal team. Provide support to Associates and Partners in various Firm practice areas (for example, tax, wealth management, investment planning, trust and estates, real-estate). Assist with corporate and real-estate matters and transactions by preparing, reviewing, and filing legal documents while meeting deadlines. Prepare legal, tax, and corporate documents, memos, e-mails, and presentations relevant to firms services. Perform preliminary legal research, as well as some basic analysis and interpretation, of US Federal and state laws and regulations. Participate in the implementation of wealth transfer structures for multinational families, creation of trusts, pre-immigration and pre-departure planning. Process bank account openings for domestic and offshore companies. Manage workflow and project deadlines while working directly with partners, associate attorneys, clients, bankers, and registered agents. Assist with internal Due Diligence, internal compliance policies, client onboarding questionnaires, and KYC forms. Create and send polished, error-free communications to internal and external parties, both electronically and through paper correspondence. Interact directly with clients and Registered Agents ensuring professional and customer-service oriented interactions. Coordinate billing requests with partner, such as preparing bills, sending invoices, and making follow ups to clients. Send out and follow up on requests for fixed fee work. Electronic and Paper Filing and Document Management. Keep files (both electronic and paper) organized and accessible to Partner and attorneys. Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree; Preferred Experience: 2-5 years experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
