Senior Litigation Paralegal Duties: Working with attorneys to establish procedures and processes for teams. Manage projects, including reviewing productivity, staffing coordination needs, and monitoring staffing schedules. Ability to learn and utilizing the firm s complex database. Training team members on paralegal skills and setting accountability systems to evaluate progress and quality control. Analyze and summarize medical records to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the medical evidence. Assist in the preparation of and responses to discovery requests. Monitoring, organizing, and analyzing medical literature. Working with expert witnesses. Handling attorneys deposition calendars including: materials prep, noticing depositions, travel arrangements, & invoicing. Understanding and keeping track of numerous court deadlines and keeping the team on pace to meet those deadlines. Bringing issues to the attention of an attorney. Willingness to ask for help and give help to others. Maintain files, calendars and organization systems for a wide variety of cases and matters. Qualifications: Must have 5+ years of experience in a law firm as a paralegal at a Mass Torts firm or high-volume personal injury firm. Strong working knowledge and experience using state and federal court systems, ECF, PACER, e-filing required. Knowledge of motion practices and procedures required. Experience drafting complaints preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. Interest in developing in the position with the firm long-term. Strong project management skills and experience training junior paralegals/assistants. Strong verbal communication, listening skills, and excellent writing skills. Organized and detail-oriented. An independent work ethic, who can identify additional tasks to be completed and willingly assists others. Ability to work with many work styles. Strong computer skills (knowledge of SQL programming, query performance, and optimizing code would be a plus). Excels in forming strong working relationships within a team and treating others with respect and courtesy; and. Proficient in MS Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook).
