Legal Secretary The candidate will provide legal and administrative support to multiple attorneys. This essential, highly responsible and accountable position requires the individual to work independently, anticipate needs, be proactive, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism. Must deliver excellent work and superior service to the Firm and the Firm s clients. Must also possess strong organizational and time management skills, communicate effectively and be flexible as demands and priorities change. Duties include: Document production and file management; Draft, proofread and edit correspondence and legal documents; Client interaction/communication with clients, courts, and attorneys; Legal calendaring via Compulaw and other electronic court rule programs. Command of a variety of software applications, including - Management of multiple calendars, appointments and travel arrangements; Preparation of travel/expense reimbursements. Assist other secretaries and perform other duties as assigned to support the secretarial team and office attorneys. The candidate should have High school diploma or GED; Associates/ Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have extensive experience with e-filing in administrative, state and federal courts. Experience with Document Management Systems, iManage preferred Must have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Omega timekeeping and DMS (iManage) or similar software, E-Copy and Compulaw. Should have 3+ years of experience as a secretary working with multiple attorneys; litigation experience required; transactional law and insurance defense is a plus.
