Knowledge Management Paralegal Duties: Respond to attorney requests for assistance by finding prior firm work product and firm subject matter experts. Use of internal firm resources including ODSearch, the KM Legal Resource Center, and ODConnect. Coordinate with other firm departments, including the Legal Research team, as necessary. Assist with ongoing KM departmental projects, including project management of periodic updates of KM resources. Respond to attorney inquiries with professionalism, confidence, analysis, and tact commensurate with that of a mid- to senior-level paralegal. Enter timekeeping data into Firm system in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university. 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a labor/employment litigation practice. Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Lexis-Nexis and WestLaw; expense and billing systems; as well as internal firm systems including ODConnect, ODSearch, and the KM Legal Resource Center. Able to mine and collect data and resources. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Interpersonal Skills maturely focuses on case/task at hand. Maintains confidentiality. Communication Listens and gets clarification. Responds to inquiries quickly with professionalism and tact. Writes clearly and informatively. Edits work for errors. Able to read and interpret information accurately and concisely. Organization skills - keep work area neat and clear of safety hazards, files are maintained neatly and are easily retrieved. Ability to organize, manage, prioritize, and handle numerous projects/tasks. Detail oriented. Teamwork Willing and eager to help others and share knowledge and skills. Dependability Follows instructions, responds to management direction. Willing to commit to additional hours when necessary to reach Firm objectives. Initiative Takes independent actions and reasonable risks; Asks for and offers help when needed. Knowledge - In-depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
