Legal Secretary The candidate will undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. You will work under the supervision of an attorney and will also provide support in everyday office function. It is imperative that the candidate have a penchant for details and organization, while understanding the seriousness of the legal business and caring for the liberty interests of our clients. Provide administrative support to one or more lawyers. Effectively communicate with witnesses, clients, courts and other legal personnel. Write case briefs and synopses of evidence and testimony. File various legal documents. Maintain an updated case record system. Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate. Maintain and update calendars and client tracking. Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders. Should have proven experience as legal secretary or clerical experience. Should have Knowledge of constitution, legal terminology, regulations and court system. Should have Knowledge and proficiency with MS Office. Working knowledge of litigation management software system "Clio" is a plus. Should have outstanding time-management and typing skills.
