We are seeking candidates for a full-time Paralegal position. This position will provide support to multiple attorneys in a close-knit office environment. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn, with mentoring, the following primary targeted duties: Retrieving deeds, certificates of occupancy, and architectural plans, and creating summaries of the information. Preparation of documents and records produced in project files or medical records, including bates numbering and redaction. Drafting scope specific discovery requests. Drafting responses to discovery requests. Communicating with other parties, non-parties, and third-party vendors to obtain discovery records. Preparation of discovery summaries. Analysis/Preparation of summaries of client project files and other production using research tools and data management systems i.e., Timeline Maker Pro, FileLocator, Relativity, Sharefile. In addition, below are other noted tasks that will be utilized on a secondary basis: Conducting legal research related to pleading and motion preparation. Assist in preparation of court hearing and deposition, including arranging exhibits, pretrial notebooks, and other relevant documents. Preparing trial subpoenas and coordinating scheduling of witnesses. Trial support and trial attendance; prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial and coordinate with AV or other trial vendors. Billing per client guidelines. Conducting fact investigation and analysis, including Sunbiz, and PeopleMaps Preparation of building department records requests. Participating in client interviews. Interviewing witnesses, including obtaining affidavits and written statements Qualifications: Strong team-player, with the ability to work with employees at all levels. Excellent communication skills, in-office and with external parties. Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently. Exceptional organizational skills. Ability to efficiently gather, maintain, organize information and records. Ability to work well under pressure. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe. is located near downtown Saint Petersburg. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m., to 5:00 p.m. Select benefits are available after a thirty-day period. Hourly rate of $15-$17 commensurate with experience.
