Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will do preparation of closing statements, deeds, 501(c)(3) tax exemption applications, ACRIS and transfer documents. Perform due diligence, including review of title, survey, offering plans, appraisals, zoning reports, UCC financing statements and related filings, tax searches, and corporate documentation. Review and summarize title commitments and title exception documents. Prepare title objection letters and coordinate with title companies, surveyors, lenders, borrowers, property owners and outside counsel. Review surveys, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy noting defects, encumbrances, liens, easements, etc. Draft and edit organizational documents, including operating agreements, certificates of formation, articles of organization and structure charts. Administrative support and some personal assistant work. A Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is needed. Should have 3-5 years of experience with commercial real estate transactions (including leasing, purchase and sales and development projects). Notary Public license is needed. Strong interpersonal skills are needed. Should be detail oriented and exhibits a strong work ethic and a professional demeanor. Should have the ability to deal professionally, and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with internal team members and external clients.
