Legal Secretary The candidate must have a minimum of 2 - 3 years' secretarial experience. Must have experience in preparing and serving documents, will be required to enter and bill their time. Must be able to handle some paralegal duties in addition to the responsibilities of a legal secretary. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook as well as other Microsoft Office applications including Word, Adobe PDF creation and searches Familiarity with and prior use of the programs PcLaw and Aderant Total Office (ATO) (Client Profiles) is a plus.Preparing documents for pleadings, discovery, motions, letter correspondence, etc. Organization of case files; gathering, organizing and analyzing data. Calendaring deadline dates and status reminder via outlook calendar. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Works closely with attorneys and in-office billing department including accounts receivable Preparing attorneys for trial/arbitration. Trial assist is a plus. Prepare court filings; and e-filing.
