Litigation Legal Secretary Duties: Follow practices and processes that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company standards, and serve the needs of clients. This includes a commitment to a process of continuous improvement. Comply with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, the company's attendance policy. Perform general secretary duties (dictation, correspondence, handling of mail, scanning). Prepare guardianship paperwork, scheduling court hearings for minor's files. Physical and electronic court filings. Full preparation of documents for filing, mailing, e-mailing, faxing. Saving case related documents Preparation of Document Production (PDF Combining, batestamping). Proofreading and make grammatical and spelling corrections on legal forms Schedule client calls, meeting coordination and calendaring Prepare correspondence in support of the work of Legal Assistants (loss of consortium and other form letters). Back up clerical support for assistants (mail, copying, faxes). Perform other duties within the employee's training and skills as directed by Core Leader. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1 year previous Litigation Legal Secretary experience in a law firm or comparable industry required. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally and in written form with clients. Ability to work independently without regular direct supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
