Patent Prosecution Paralegal The candidate will assist firm's attorneys in the prosecution of patent applications in both U.S. and foreign jurisdictions. Will be conducting independent research related to patent prosecution and procedures; preparing and filing documents and correspondence relating to U.S. and International patent prosecution and communicating regularly with domestic and international clients and attorneys as well as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and foreign counterparts. Must have 2+ years experience as a Paralegal or an Assistant in the Intellectual Property field coupled with 2+ years of specific work experience related to U.S. and/or Foreign patent prosecution responsibilities. Knowledge of USPTO rules and regulations a must and experience with Electronic Filing System (EFS) a plus. Other qualifications include a Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience, strong customer service orientation, excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively interact with all levels of personnel, clients and foreign associates and superior problem solving skills.
