Litigation Paralegal The candidate is responsible for all aspects of case management from inception to conclusion, including but not limited to: drafting pleadings, discovery and responses, motions, correspondence, subpoenas, settlement documents, stipulations, and orders, analyzing and summarizing medical and employment records; preparing medical and factual chronologies; reviewing and cataloging discovery and other voluminous materials; discussing cases with expert witnesses and preparing affidavits; researching issues relevant to cases; attending meetings, witness interviews, depositions, hearings and trials; preparing trial notebooks and exhibits; and overall maintenance and management of case files. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Good organizational skills and multitasking abilities with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks. Detail and deadline oriented. Ability to review and analyze documents. Ability to work independently. Ability to work within a litigation team. Ability to capture billable hours. Must possess excellent communication and customer/client service skills. Ability to question when information is missing or incomplete. Strong work ethic. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Should be proficient in Word Perfect, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, and Outlook. Knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Should have 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience required in the areas of medical malpractice, employment law, and general liability.
