Legal Secretary The candidate will support the client's cases from intake to closing, while also helps to shape the core processes by which the work is done. Work with an attorney to build and edit a template system for an electronic case management system to automate the production of letters, motions, affidavits, and discovery responses. Assist in creating and implementing the firm's core processes. Manage the firm's docket and calendar. Conduct monthly review of files. Management and operation of the firm medical records process, including preparation of authorizations, securing client signatures, securing medical records, updating client medical treatment logs, and keeping files updated with ongoing treatment records. Electronic filing of legal papers in state and federal courts. Assembly and service of motions. Review, scan and file daily mail and overall administrative support. Mail and service of legal and other documents. Preparation of draft discovery and pleadings. Help prepare cases for trial and move cases through discovery. The candidate should preferably have a high school or equivalent degree with 2+ years of Civil Litigation, Relevant, Microsoft Office experience, and a Certified Notary Public License. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of electronic case management systems; excellent client communication and interaction skills; strong work ethic, ability to work independently after training.
