Paralegal (Workers' Compensation) The candidate will support one partner in the Workers Compensation defense practice area. Must have 3 years of litigation or insurance defense experience. Prior Workers Compensation experience preferred. Should have experience drafting and responding to discovery, as well as drafting settlement documents and pleadings. Will require the ability to communicate with clients, insurance carriers, doctor offices, draft documents, review files and assist attorneys in the unit. Day to day responsibilities include drafting settlement documents, handling responses to discovery requests, reviewing/summarizing subpoenaed documents, managing the attorney s calendar, scheduling depositions/mediations/conferences, e-filing documents, and evaluating claims.
