Law Clerk / Legal Secretary, Part-time Duties: Welcome clients and guests by greeting them in person or on the phone; answers or directs inquiries. File, organize, and record legal correspondence, documents, reports, and evidence; general administrative duties. Support attorneys through various research and preparation, including collecting, organizing, and summarizing information, documents, evidence, and reports. Maintain digital calendar by scheduling and updating court dates and meetings. Represent the firm by communicating and obtaining information, as well as following up on delegated tasks. Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders. Maintain office supplies by checking stocks and placing orders. General office upkeep, including routine cleaning and maintenance. Protect the law firm's reputation and maintain client confidence by keeping client information confidential. Qualifications: High school or equivalent required. Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic to identify and anticipate needs and tasks. Possess strong verbal communication and client contact skills. Possess general administrative skills, including administrative writing, organization, and strong computer and Microsoft Office skills. Must be detail-oriented and reliable. Works well in an intimate team setting. General knowledge of legal procedures and terminology a plus, but not required.
