Paralegal The candidate will be responsible to open cases in INS Zoom and hard file. Maintain USCIS case status online system for attorney. Enter, calendar, and maintain attorney case reminders, reports, receipt, and approval notices. Prepare routine correspondence for attorneys and Communicate with clients regarding information or documentation needed, case updates, etc. Prepare outgoing mail and deliveries of case filings to government agencies and clients. Prepare all forms for immigration cases in INS Zoom. Prepare filings including required documentation and supporting evidence for attorney review. Undertake research where appropriate and draft case supporting documentation. Assist with filings before USCIS, including asylum, waivers, and family-based petitions. Assist with consular processing of immigrant and nonimmigrant applications. Assist with removal defense cases including motions and court filings. Contact government agencies on case specific inquiries. Maintain and update standard guides, form letters, and other information. The candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills. Minimum 2 years experience in business immigration is required. Experience using INSZoom and working on PERM cases is preferred. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills are needed as well as Strong analytical, evaluative, critical thinking skills. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Products and have ability to manage time, prioritize work, and handle diverse assignments. Ability to produce thorough, high quality work within a tight timeframe, flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment is required. An international outlook and ability to relate to and engage with people from a range of backgrounds, cultures and viewpoints is necessary. Problem-solving, decision-making and good judgment skills are must. Ability to take initiative and/or independently respond to situations is critical. Must have attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a required timeframe. Ability to respond and adapt quickly to changing requirements and competing demands is needed. Must have professional and mature demeanor and able to conduct, especially during interactions with the clients.
