Paralegal Supervisor DUTIES: Promptly responds to client requests via phone, email and websites. Verifies proper indexing and filing of legal documents. Supervises, motivates and trains team on all work flow processes. Plays the role of liaison between internal departments, clients and third party vendors. Creates and utilize reports to aid in improving departments efficiency; present timelines and statistics to upper management as applicable. Receives and handles calls from clients, defendants, counsel for defendants and the Courts. Communicates and working with own team and vendors to ensure timely and accurate handling of files. Ensures compliance with all existing and new client updates that pertain to the function for which the employee is hired. Works with IT on any office wide issues and escalate those issues to Management when needed. Communicates any staff unplanned absences to HR and any other appropriate parties. Works with HR to schedule new hire orientation; facilitation of new hire training videos. Ensures all staff members are in compliance with all firm polices and effectively document and communicate any issues to Management as needed. Maintains confidential client and/or firm information in accordance to federal and firm policies. Performs all such non-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Paralegal certificate preferred. 1-2 years of supervisory experience. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to initiate and maintain working relationships with all levels of staff. Intermediate Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based applications; proficient in the use of office equipment such as but not limited to desktop/laptop computer and software and/or complex machines. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, customer service office environment.
