Legal Secretary Duties: Draw up legal documents including complaints, discovery requests, motions, pretrial agreements, subpoenas, and summonses. Handle incoming and outgoing mail. Maintain organized files, including copies of all documents and correspondence. Perform other administrative duties as they arise. Qualifications: 2-3 years' experience; knowledge of Wordperfect office X5 and X9 necessary; dictaphone experience a must; law firm experience/litigation and transactions and knowledge of electronic court filing required; be willing to take initiative in helping to run the office; WPM 65; able to work under deadlines ; answering all phone calls and taking messages; ordering supplies ; going to post office; must be organized and able to handle work volume; Schedule: hours are 10 am to 6:30 pm; Computer literate in word processing, databases, email, and office software.
