Litigation Legal Assistant for Appellate Attorney The candidate will perform complex and specialized non-billable work with the firms appellate attorney and an associate. The firms unparalleled trial experience - combined with each lawyers extensive knowledge of medicine, law, and litigation - is reflected in record verdicts and settlements, providing necessary compensation to negligence victims in Colorado and throughout the United States. Should have 3 years current litigation experience, 1 year of appellate experience, expertise in Word, trial preparation experience and a stable work history. Should be an expert at time management, be knowledgeable of Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, know e-filing requirements for state, federal, and appellate procedures, docket and calendar, using Time Matters database, be comfortable with legal and medical terminology, research records of trial, create Tables of Contents, Tables of Authorities, Appendices, proofread, correct grammar, and finalize voluminous documents, work well in stressful situations knowing that this, too, shall pass. Perform other duties as assigned.
