Immigration Paralegal II The candidate will prepare immigration cases as assigned by manager for submittal to the appropriate government agency; begin to achieve a mastery of case types from simple to complex filings within particular practice area(s). Demonstrate mastery of multiple case types from simple to complex filings within particular practice area(s). Demonstrate increasing level of independence in handling cases and achieving monthly filing goals. Responsible for working with attorneys in the preparation, filing, and monitoring of various immigration and nationality law matters. Understand the procedures and documentation required for cases to be filed successfully and followings service standards. Work with clients to gather the necessary information and documentation in a timely manner. Prepare forms according to information received from clients. Prepare letters and other documents on behalf of the employer/client. Finalize documents after review by Practice Manager, Team Manager Attorney. Demonstrate ability to manage a high caseload and work within strict timelines. Monitor the status of all filed applications and petitions. Run reports to assist in managing caseload. Assisting with the review of billing protocols and ensure that billing guidelines are met. Evaluate cases and assist in providing case strategies solutions to issues. Provide company contacts with training and guidance regarding systems and general immigration matters. Engage in frequent contact with company client(s). Keep abreast of current regulations and procedures relating to filing applications. Make photocopies. Send faxes and scan documents. Retrieve return files. Create mailing labels for packages and track delivery. Works with clients to obtain documents and information necessary to prepare applications. Drafts support statements and organizes documentations for filling. Files and monitors applications and petitions with appropriate government agencies. Performs research to obtain information such as background on a company or industry, current wages, processing procedures, stand processing times, etc. Initiates contact with government officials to obtain necessary information to alert supervising attorney of potential delays or possible problems in the processing of an application. Should have Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate. Should have 2+ years of corporate immigration experience.
