Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for: Referral intake and set up for new collection and foreclosure matters. Drafting of demand letters and initial notices. Drafting motions, discovery responses, affidavits, proof of mailings, and other pleadings related to collection and foreclosure cases. Reviewing collateral documents and drafting complaints and related pleadings. Contact with process servers to monitor status of service of process. Communication with borrowers regarding repayment plans. Invoice reviews and submission to client. Managing files with attorney oversight from open to close. Preparing, filing, and service of various pleadings, discovery, appellate documents, settlement documents, and correspondence. Coordinating and communicating with defendants, courts, other firms and process servers via written correspondence and verbal communications. Calendaring court hearings, deadlines, monitoring deadlines, organizing case files and maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes. Opening files, investigate and obtain documents from courts and register of deeds offices. Assist the Attorney's with client-reporting requirements and other compliance functions. Must have excellent writing and communication skills. Paralegal degree/certificate preferred. Knowledge of Case Aware software a plus. Notary Public a plus. Should be detail orientated, highly organized with the capability to draft and handle a high volume of tasks, work well under pressure, possess good communication skills, and have the ability to work in a team environment.
