Legal Nurse Consultant/Paralegal Responsibilities : The candidate shall review, analyze, evaluate and summarize medical documents. Prepare a medical chronology of medical events and evaluate the relationship of those events to allegations. Conduct medical research concerning standards of care and regulations, and obtain medical literature pertinent to the allegations or issues. Provide information and/or educate attorneys or others involved in the legal process on medical facts and issues related to the case. Identify, locate, evaluate and confer with medical experts concerning health-related issues. Procure medical documents for evaluation of a claim. Assist in assessing issues of damages and causation relative to a claim. Requirements : The candidate shall be B.S in Nursing. Shall have 5+ years of clinical experience. Registered Nurse with solid clinical experience in a hospital-based setting. Strong organization, problem solving, analytical and research skills. Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information. General computer proficiency.
