Legal Secretary The candidate should have 4+ years of expertise in general civil litigation, including general liability, professional liability and transportation. Skills include the following: e-filing experience in California, both state and Federal court. Record and track deadlines through docketing and calendar system. Setting up mail merge, proof and finalize correspondence, pleadings. Prepare orders/depo notices/stipulations for dismissal and routine macros. Prepare notebooks for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, trial. Name, save and print documents. Perform various litigation assistant duties. Heavy document management organizational skills. Assist multiple attorneys. Trial preparation. Must have ability to support all aspects of defense civil litigation and have knowledge of state, federal and local court rules and procedures. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of computer competency, in the complete Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, iManage document file system, e-Copy, PDF conversion. e-Dockets calendaring experience helpful.
