Real Estate Paralegal Duties: Review title reports and correspond with title agents as needed to clear or address title exceptions. Review underlying corporate documents in relation to loan clearance. Manage daily closing queue for loan assignment & rush priorities. Assist Partner in charge with assigning and managing workload of division and associates and or paralegals. Assign associate attorneys and outside closers to attend and consummate closing. Communication with client closing department to confirm clear to close statuses. Verifying the validity and timeliness of Insured Closing Protection Letters. Responding to loan audits and post-closing request for additional documentation in a timely manner. Review and reconcile Closing Documents after loans receive approval from underwriting and coordinate with title company to ensure smooth, punctual closing process for all parties involved. Address any issues that may arise in a timely manner and meet all closing deadlines. Respond to Pre-funding QC Clear to Close email requests and maintain adequate workflow for QC. Sort, upload, and track all reports received from third party vendors. Assist with delivering post-closing files to QC vendors. Review all contracts and paperwork for accuracy and compliance. Assist in post-closing matters that arise from time to time. Coordinate all eSigning for per requirements. Create and follow a detailed closing checklist. Monitor and manage insurance requirements. Communicate progress and provide status updates to all parties. Monitor closing process and provide updates. Reviewing the loan application package to verify compliance with all closing and funding requirements. Auditing the loan application and closing package for completeness and accuracy prior to delivery of the closing package to the settlement agent. Reviewing funding conditions for completeness and accuracy. Issuing funding authorization, accurate wire amounts, and funding itemizations to the Settlement Agent. Participate in special projects and Audit document requests as needed. Qualifications: 8+ years experience in real estate law firm or mortgage lending industry. Experience in legal management software. Centerbase preferred. Experience with project management software. Monday.com preferred. Working knowledge of real estate titles, corporate documents, preparation of HUDS, loan documents, and closings. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints. Excellent customer service skills and verbal and written communication skills.
