Attorney Recruiting and Development Coordinator The candidate will be responsible for working with the Senior Manager - Attorney Recruiting & Diversity in regard to all aspects of the New York office s attorney recruiting and development functions, including Summer Associate hiring, the Summer Associate program, law school and lateral attorney hiring, diversity and the professional development for associates and counsel. Perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm s attorneys, advisors and staff, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. Work with the Senior Manager-Attorney Recruiting & Diversity to coordinate, plan and execute the annual Summer Associate Program (including, but not limited to, monitoring Summer Associate workload reports, responding to day-to-day Summer Associate questions and/or concerns, coordinate and organize Summer Associate social and business events and training programs, attending events, collecting and organizing evaluations and feedback and assigning mentors). Assist Senior Manager-Attorney Recruiting & Diversity with pipeline initiatives. Coordinate on-campus arrangements at various law schools; schedule students and coordinate each student s interview schedule and follow up meetings for Summer Associate candidates; oversee entry of schedules into recruiting database. Provide on-site assistance at law schools for on-campus interviewing and other educational and diversity events. Coordinate Lateral Recruiting, including but not limited to coordinating each candidate s interview schedule, meeting lateral candidates, overseeing expense approvals, and distributing, coordinating, collecting and reviewing evaluation forms. Engage in follow-up recruiting efforts for lateral candidates. Assist with summer associate and lateral attorney onboarding. Participate in office Hiring Committee meetings. Participate in scheduled periodic Attorney Recruiting and Development conference calls and meetings, as needed. Assist with the New York office Inclusion Council related events. Coordinate planning and delivery of attorney development training programs. Conduct market research regarding legal recruiting trends. Analyze recruiting statistics, and prepare and submit on behalf of the Firm statistics for NALP, attorney salary surveys, internal presentations, etc. Coordinate work in various recruiting-related computerized databases and programs. The candidate must have ability to read, write and speak English. Bachelors degree required. Must have 3+ years of experience in legal recruiting in a law firm. Should have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Should have strong service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and attorneys. Must have ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure. Should have ability to manage multiple projects with specific deadlines and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner. Should have strong organizational and project management skills. Must have ability to use initiative and judgment to accomplish results. Should have ability to work independently and with a team. Must have ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions. Should have strong attention to detail. Should have commitment to maintaining confidentiality of client and office information and adhering to the Firms Core Values.
