Legal Secretary / Administrative Assistant, Part-time Duties: Responsible for providing secretarial support to Firm attorneys primarily in various areas of Law including, Family Law, Business, Personal Injury, Criminal, Real Estate, and Private Client. Edit, proofread and help in creating various correspondence including letters, emails, billing and legal documents. File correspondence and legal documents in office filing system, open and close files, and maintain information on clients. Perform clerical duties such as providing information to callers, taking dictation, composing and typing routine correspondence, and reading and routing incoming mail. Scan and submit invoices, appointments, conference calls, etc. Calendaring and travel arrangements. Enter time in Clio and QuickBooks system, review and edit attorney s time entry; review, edit, scan, track and change pro formas. Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent. 3 years of secretarial experience in a law firm or legal department. Experience with time entry preferred, Clio system strongly preferred. Experience with Quickbooks strongly preferred. Excellent written communication skills to edit and proofread correspondence and legal documents. Ability to type accurately and efficiently from draft or dictation with 60+ wpm. Strong skills and knowledge with Microsoft Word, PDF, and Excel. Ability to deal professionally and effectively with both internal and external clients on all levels. Ability to analyze routine administrative details of limited complexity such as resolving minor scheduling conflicts, making travel arrangements, redirecting mail, etc. Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times. Ability to work in a team-oriented structure.
