The candidate will draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda. Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions. Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency. Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts. Review client documents, draft case evaluations and status report correspondence. Assist with and participate in mediations, arbitrations, court appearances and trials. Should have 3+ years experience in civil litigation defense. Broad experience in Insurance Defense is a plus, as is experience in premises liability, construction defect, employment, banking and automobile accident litigation. A Pennsylvania and New Jersey state attorney s license, as well as experience practicing before state and federal courts is required. An additional state admission is a plus. Should manage multiple case files successfully in a busy environment. Should demonstrate strong legal research and analytical skills. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should have strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills. Should have the ability to move from case to case. knowledge of both state and federal court procedures is needed.
