Title & Survey Paralegal Duties: Perform specifically delegated, substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible. Responsible for the review and analysis of title and survey on multifamily housing properties. Title and survey review and analysis, specifically commercial real estate loans, in accordance with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae guidelines. Maintain thorough and current knowledge of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae guidelines. Perform paralegal duties and responsibilities as directed by group leader and other attorneys. Receive and follow complex instructions. Juggle multiple assignments in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.Docket and take appropriate action to monitor and meet deadlines. Perform all assignments in strict compliance with ethical guidelines governing the practice of law. Consistently exhibit a high degree of professionalism. Use initiative and discretion in accomplishing routine assignments with minimum supervision. Participate in the training and professional development of other paralegals in routine practice elements. Requirements: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree. 2+ years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey; law firm or title company and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac experience preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Thorough knowledge of title and survey required. Impeccable attention to detail and analytical skills. Be a self-starter, detail-oriented with strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills. Strong client relations skills. strong organizational and writing skills. Demonstrate good teamwork skills within and among practice groups, offices and firm to facilitate efficient delivery of legal services. Ability to effectively communicate and present information as well as respond to questions from lawyers, staff, clients and the general public. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
