Nurse/Medical Paralegal The candidate is responsible to review, analyze and summarize medical records. Review and research medical charts and other medical records for key indicators of diagnosis of malignant diseases. Medical and scientific literature research on current and historical studies to support defenses and challenge claims. Work with attorneys to determine defense strategy based on medical records and diagnosis. Assist attorneys in preparation for expert witnesses, challenging opposing experts, and trial work. Must have R.N. or other medical background. Knowledge and experience in pulmonary medicine and/or oncology is preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced environment is must. Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner is required. Must be capable of independent work and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individuals is must.
