Family Law Legal Assistant/Paralegal Candidate with a college degree with 5+ years experience in an office setting, an administrative position, and/or a law firm is preferred. A college degree, a background in education, and/or experience in a law firm is encouraged. Will have some office experience, an interest in law, and be eager and willing to fill a support position while learning about family law processes and procedures, with the goal of reaching a level of expertise to fill a paralegal position. Will include: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively represent the firm to a diverse group of people, including clients, co-workers, court staff, and other professionals; Ability to establish and monitor priorities, remain flexible, meet deadlines; Ability to manage multiple calendars, scheduling phone, in person, or Zoom meetings; Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of attention to detail and a minimum of supervision; Dedication to enjoying collaborative work and the camaraderie of the Family Law team; responsive to the needs of the team and supportive of unity within the team; Open to the exchange of ideas and the pursuit of new, effective application of technology to advance collaborative work within the team, as well as to improve productivity; Dedication to life-long learning and pursuit of excellence in work product. Intermediate user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with Google Drive and Google File Stream. Familiarity with e-filing with Courts. Scheduling Zoom conferences. Strong commitment to client service; Demonstrated ability to listen, exercise sound judgment, solve problems, build relationships, and successfully resolve conflicts; The ability to work with a diverse group of individuals; Ability to collaborate in a team, including across both offices and with attorneys who may be working remotely; Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; Willingness to be flexible and adjust to a changing work environment; Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Positive and professional demeanor.
