Commercial Finance Paralegal Responsibilities: Drafting and formatting various documents, including loan agreements, promissory notes, deeds, mortgages, UCC financing statements, etc.. Completing entity searches, due diligence searches, and obtaining certificates of good standing. Filing UCC financing statements, as directed by the attorneys. Assisting in the preparation and distribution of closing binders and CDs. Compiling fees and costs prior to closings. Assisting in complete process for financing and other commercial lending transactions. Corresponding with clients. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, title companies, attorneys, and staff members.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree. 5+ years of banking, lending, or real estate transaction experience. Familiarity with commercial finance loan terminology and types of loans. Solid understanding of corporate structure and governance. Excellent grammar. Exceptional typing and proofreading skills. Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. High level of organization and time-management skills. Must have a positive attitude and commitment to client service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities. Dedication to producing quality work and bringing assigned tasks and projects to completion. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing demands. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
