Litigation Paralegal (Retail/Transportation) The candidate will provide support to attorneys from case inception through discovery, litigation, settlement, trial, and/or appeal. Pre-trial responsibilities include subpoena preparation and notices to consumers, medical records review and chronologies, witness interviews, deposition summaries, research, and handling of small claims matters. Trial responsibilities include organizing and working up cases for trial, issuing subpoenas, notices to attend, tracking witnesses, preparation of exhibit and witness lists and binders, preparation of CACIs, preparing discovery notebooks and trial notebooks. Required experience in tracking hours and billing time. Should have 5+ years of experience. Solid experience and knowledge in civil litigation and trial preparation required. Experience in electronic trial presentation software helpful. Must have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, a self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, reliable and professional. Must also be proficient in MS Word and have knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure.
