Associate Attorney The candidate will represent local governments over a wide variety of issues, including without limitation torts, civil rights, eminent domain, landfill siting and regulation, redistricting, voting rights, election disputes, employment claims, road disputes and subdivision regulation litigation. Litigation and administrative hearings are common responsibilities along with consultation and providing continuing education to elected officials on a wide variety of topics. Should expect to be supported by senior attorneys but will have independent responsibility for case from pre-litigation inception through appellate disposition. Should have experience as a primary attorney in defense litigation and administrative hearings. Prior governmental representation is preferred. Must be an organized, self-sufficient, and disciplined individual with experience with time and expense billing. Requires excellent personal conduct, engaging with clients, staff, and opposing counsel professionally and with good humor.
