Legal Secretary Candidate will support for a Board-Certified Trial Litigation Specialist Attorney. Generate E-Filing, lawsuits, subpoenas, citations, draft requests and responses to discovery; motions, pleadings, demands, and correspondence. Maintain calendar of all appointments, hearings, mediations, trial dates, deadlines. Interact with clients and court staff. Maintain daily organization of case files. E-file pleadings and motions. Document, organize, and prepare new case files. Requirements: Notary license required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) required. Must have 7+ years of litigation experience as a legal secretary in a law firm. Must have 7+ years of experience in civil litigation, family law criminal defense & trial notebooks, appeals, etc. Experience with e-filing in all local, state & federal systems Must be able to type 80-120 wpm Must be familiar with Legal Billing Softwares: Quickbooks, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat PRO. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Friendly in the office, and able to handle multiple clients and multi-task. Able to take direction, but also come up with ideas of your own on how to potentially improve the office. Able to put out a quality work product w/minimal errors. Able to hit the ground running. Detail-oriented, reliable and trustworthy. Respectful and honest. Professional appearance and demeanor. Requires someone who understands the litigation process, can anticipate what is needed and has the initiative to take action without specific direction. Familiar with E-Filing Juvenile Voucher Submission and E-Filing CPS Vouchers and have experience in Family Court Billing. Able to scan, fax, email and dictate memos.
