Pre-Closing Paralegal The candidate will join law firm that conducts real estate settlements. The duties of the position include: Ordering title work from abstractors. Following up with abstractors and enforcing ETAs. Managing our title search database to ensure efficient turn around times. (For SC Files) Reviewing title notes and preparing commitments of title insurance on both First American and Chicago Title letterhead. For NC Files) Reviewing title notes and preparing PTOs to send to independent title agencies in accordance with NC law. Prepping ancillary docs required by lenders including: Tax certifications, Pre-Cds and CPLS.
