Associate Family Law Attorney (In House) Duties: Draft and prepare initial drafts of pleadings for the senior attorney Propound & Respond to Discovery Creating and Preparing: Trial notebooks & Files for hearings Corresponding with clients, potential clients and other law firms via phones, e-mail, fax and regular mail. Case Management - Calendaring and Audit calendar for accuracy. Preparing clients for court appearances Docket Review Present status of all cases during weekly meeting Assisting senior attorney in court for highly contested matters Lead, train and mentor paralegals in all aspects of their duties to include assisting them as the work towards their board certification in family law. Duties as assigned. Minor prove ups and entries. Minor motions in front of the bench. Other minor settings as assigned. Drafting of family law pleadings. Requirements: Attorney licensed in Texas (Perfect for newly licensed attorneys). Family Law knowledge with some Experience (Family Law Internship). Self-motivated & Problem Solver. Exceptional legal research and writing skills. ProDoc Assembly. Typing skills are always a must have. Nice to have:. Internship in a Family Law Court. Internship/Employment with a Family Law Attorney. Family Law CLE hours. Law Review. Schedule: 50 hours/week
