Litigation Paralegal The candidate will perform a variety of functions to assist attorneys in representing their clients. Will work closely with attorneys and support staff to facilitate a seamless flow of information among the litigation team. Complete assignments that require knowledge of legal concepts and procedures, organizational and time management skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with legal professionals, employees and clients. Maintain all case-related materials according to office filing standards. Coordinate all aspects of document production. Prepare witness files and exhibits. Schedule and prepare for depositions. Draft and format briefs, pleadings, complaints, initial service and other legal documents. E-file documents with all levels of federal, state and chancery courts. Communicate with Court, co-counsel and opposing counsel. Prepare binders for trial with all necessary documents. Use word processing, spreadsheet and legal software applications to enter data, process information, prepare billing statements, keep timesheets, perform conflict searches, and open new client files with accurate billing rates. Create Table of Contents and Table of Authorities. Perform other duties as assigned. The candidate should preferably have Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate. Should have 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience. Must possess excellent verbal and written skills. Must be proficient with MS Office Suite. Electronic filing experience essential. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills needed.
