Legal Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will be responsible to support and manage document productions. Manage attorney calendars in electronic system and Subpoena medical records. Assist in trial preparation, including creating binders and pretrial documents. Prepare, format and edit legal documents such as pleadings, discovery and correspondence (including TOA/TOC). Manage documents in firm software (Imanage).
The candidate must have minimum 5 years' experience is civil litigation. Attention to detail is required with excellent written and oral communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills are critical. Must be a team player and have the ability to work effectively and courteously with your co-workers, especially in times of stress. Proficiency with Word 2010, Adobe and Outlook is a must. Experience with document management system is preferred. Imanage and Prolaw experience is a plus. Must have thorough knowledge of rules and procedures of court for both Federal Courts and California Superior Courts Proficiency with court filings with both State and Federal courts (manual and electronic filing). Bachelor's Degree preferred and Paralegal Certificate is required.
