Labor Law and Employment Attorney The candidate responsibilities include: Developing and modifying employment handbooks to ensure existing information and policies are accurate and current. Monitoring changes in state and federal labor and employment laws to ensure compliance is being met. Manage labor and employment litigation claims. Investigate Claims and complaints from various agencies, including DLSE, DFEH, DOL, etc. Attending mediation and preparation of all related documents and negotiating settlements. Assessing legal risk and potential damages and proposing recommendations to client s management. Traveling to attend mediation, deposition and any additional hearing, will be required on a regular basis. 3+ years of relevant experience with a primary focus in labor and employment law is required. Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar is required. Should have extensive knowledge and experience with all aspects of employment law. Exceptional communication skills, written and oral, with an ability to scrutinize the complexities of legal issues to create comprehensive analyses are required.
